Base Camp will run during the following times. Please note that Sunday’s show is a daytime show.
Friday, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th
- Doors: 4:30pm
- Performances: 5:30pm-10:00pm
Sunday, April 30th
- Doors: 12:00pm
- Performances: 12:30pm-5:00pm
Yes! There are several additional daytime experiences in and around Highlands that can be enjoyed each day before Base Camp begins, including Bearfoot in the Park and Summit & Sound excursions. We will announce events as details as they are confirmed.

Yes, kids are welcome, but please know the music will be loud and there will be alcohol being served. Kids 10 and under are free.
Casual. This event is outdoors and is rain or shine. Please dress for forecasted weather. This is a farm and there are no paved areas so dress shoes are strongly discouraged (especially if the ground is wet).
The Highlands Plateau is located approximately 2 hours from Atlanta, Greenville, and Asheville. Get directions here. Base Camp is located at Winfield Farm, 250 Winfield Farm Road, Scaly Mountain, 28775 . There is limited parking available onsite so please pre-purchase your passes in advance to ensure you have a reserved spot. We highly recommend carpooling or taking the complimentary shuttles running from Kelsey-Hutchinson Park and The Highlands Community Center.
There are a variety of hotels, Inns and rental homes available in The Highlands Plateau. Don’t delay as inventory can be limited! You can browse options here.
Free shuttles will run continuously between Kelsey-Hutchinson Park, The Highlands Community Center, and Winfield Farm. See schedule below. Limited on-site parking will be available for $20 per car, each day. Get your daily parking passes at the ticket page before they’re gone.
We are offering complimentary round-trip shuttles from downtown Highlands Plateau to Base Camp Friday-Sunday. Shuttles will run continuously from Kelsey-Hutchinson Park and the Highlands Community Center in Highlands from 4:00pm – 11:00pm Friday and Saturday and from 11:30am – 6:00pm on Sunday. Shuttles will drop off/pickup guests directly at Base Camp gates.
- Kelsey-Hutchinson Park is located on the 400 block of Pine Street, Highlands.
- Highlands Community Center is located at 869 N. 4th Street.
- Parking is very limited, so please carpool or walk from your lodging.
- You will have to carry your belongings with you on the shuttle, so pack lightly and be courteous of other guests.
Base Camp is an outdoor-only area and music acts will happen rain or shine. Please be prepared for forecasted weather. Should major weather arise, such as lighting or high winds that threaten the safety of fans, artists or crew, the Festival reserves the right to delay or cancel the show. All ticket holders will be contacted via email or SMS text should this occur. Daytime excursions will be weather contingent.
There is limited parking available onsite so please pre-purchase your passes in advance to ensure you have a reserved spot. Winfield Farm located at 250 Winfield Farm Road, Scaly Mountain, NC 28775. Should you choose to drive, PLEASE carpool, and have a designated driver.
Bear Shadow is offering complimentary shuttles to and from Highlands on April 29-May 1 starting daily at 4pm on Friday and Saturday and 11:30am on Sunday. These shuttles will be leaving from Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park and The Highlands Community Center.
Unfortunately, there is no Uber or Lyft available in The Highlands Plateau. If you prefer private car service, you can contact: Mountain Motorcoach. We will continue to post private car options as they become available.
All ticket holders will have their ticket scanned at the entrance to the events. 3-Day ticket holders will be given ONE wristband for the weekend. Do not take or cut this wristband off. Replacements will not be given.
Cell service at the venue is limited, so we recommend taking a screenshot of your QR code for
each ticket or printing it out.
Don’t worry if you can’t find your ticket in your email—all tickets will automatically be emailed to the purchaser 24 hours prior to the start of the event.
If you plan to drink alcohol, you will be asked to show your ID to receive a 21 and over wristband.

Your wristband allows you into the event once. You cannot leave and re-enter.
Do not lose your wristband – these are not replaceable. Individuals not wearing a wristband will not be allowed entry, no exceptions. The plastic security lock on the wristband is a one-way lock. Do not play with this lock to tighten the band too much. No wristbands will be replaced.
Empty water bottles are encouraged as we will be providing potable water stations. We are also providing all guests with 1 reusable cup this year for beverages to help elevate the use of plastic.
There is no public Wi-Fi and cell service at the venue is limited so we recommend taking a screenshot of your QR code for each ticket or printing it out.

If you have a GA ticket, you will be able to purchase food from multiple food trucks and food vendors. Vendors will be announced as they are confirmed. If you are interested in becoming a food vendor, please fill out and application here.
If you have a VIP ticket, you can enjoy complimentary small plates from local and regional food partners. You will also have full access to purchase additional food vendors throughout the festival grounds.
General Admission ticket holders can enjoy included beer, wine, water and other non-alcoholic beverages. Because of the location of our festival and the special event liquor laws in Macon County, we cannot offer alcoholic beverages for sale.
VIP ticket holders can enjoy included elevated beer, wine and cocktail brands. There are also numerous non-alcoholic options available.
*We ask that you please drink responsibly. Please have a designated driver or take advantage of our free Festival shuttles to and from Highlands. Bear Shadow reserves the right to remove any patron that is not drinking responsibly.
